Torrington Savings Bank Promotes Bryan Cassidy to Executive Vice President
Torrington Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Bryan Cassidy to Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Information Security Officer.
Bryan joined TSB as Senior Vice President & CIO in January 2021. Since that time, he has progressively gained more responsibility and has taken leadership in the Information Security, Risk Management and Fraud areas of the Bank. He has over 15 years of information technology and cybersecurity experience in the financial sector. Bryan holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Western New England University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hartford. Additionally, Bryan is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional for US Laws (CIPP-US), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Throughout his tenure, Bryan’s focus has been on rightsizing and strengthening the Bank’s information technology and security posture and he has established multiple processes to support cost savings through the efficient use of resources.
Bryan serves as Secretary of the Town of Burlington’s Economic Development Commission and is an Advisory Board Member and is a volunteer of Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center in Bristol. In 2021, Bryan graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Academy that focuses on fostering a greater understanding of the role federal law enforcement plays in the private sector through discussions, threat briefings, and education. In 2023, Bryan was a 2023 Hartford Business Journal C-Suite Honoree in the Chief Information Officer category.
