Torrington Savings Foundation Awards Over $111,000 in Support of Financial Literacy & Educational Enrichment
The Torrington Savings Foundation announced grants totaling $111,333 during their fall grant cycle. The awards sustain the mission of investing in community revitalization through education initiatives.
Grant recipients included:
• EdAdvance in support of their Business Education Series for Childcare Providers
• Junior Achievement of Southwest New England’s Project Tomorrows of Bristol Students
• KidsPlay Childrens Museum in support of their Birth to Graduation Early Literacy Program
• Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center ‘s Equine-Assisted Services
• Susan B. Anthony Project’s Outreach and Prevention Education Program
• Torrington Area Families for Autism (TAFA)’s Autism Agriculture Science Summer Program
• Torrington Library’s Digitization Project which will provide a searchable database to locate historical events along with school ages program to educate children how to utilize the database.
